Modern Warfare 4's first major weapon tuning pass has made the assault rifle choice a little less obvious. The Han 86 still reaches further than it did at launch, but shots to the neck and upper torso aren't as rewarding. If you're using MW4 Bot Lobbies to try different setups, pay attention to where your shots land rather than just how far away the target is. The rifle's maximum damage range climbs from 1,120 to 1,200, an increase of 7 percent, while both upper-body multipliers drop by 9 percent. That's a useful trade at distance, but it can cost you a close fight you might have won before.

A Different Look at Close-Range Fights

The ISO Nightshade and VEL 46 have a more straightforward story: both are better when bullets hit arms and hands. Those multipliers rise by 5 percent, with the ISO's values reaching 0.95. It doesn't sound dramatic on paper, yet those hits happen all the time when players sprint around corners or strafe across your sights. On smaller maps, either SMG is worth another run as a primary. The Kastov 762 also deserves a look if you prefer a rifle. Its maximum damage range increases by 11 percent to 1,050, giving it more room to work in medium-distance lanes. The M4 remains another option for players who want to move away from the Han without giving up a familiar all-round setup.

Attachments and Heavy Weapons

The Oden takes a noticeable hit. Its neck and upper torso multipliers fall by 8 percent to 1.1, while its lower torso multiplier drops by 9 percent. The Sentinel Apex attachment also loses range, so don't expect the same results from the same long sightlines. Hyeon Burst users have a different adjustment to consider. Hyperburst Apex full-auto maximum damage falls by 8 percent to 34, but its maximum damage range rises by 26 percent to 1,220. Its first mid-damage range has been removed. Meanwhile, two Patriot XMR parts are easier to live with: the EXP Haste 80L light barrel and FJX Fury IV skeleton grip now impose smaller recoil control penalties.

Other Changes Worth Testing

LMG players haven't been left out. The APOC-338 loses some mid-range and minimum damage, while the FiNN LMG gives up range and upper-arm damage. The Type 73's Assault Apex attachment goes the other way, gaining minimum damage. For shotgun users, the Warlord's 12G Slug Rounds have a shorter second mid-damage range. Quick Fix now stops regenerating health when you take damage, too, so don't count on it carrying you through sustained fire. Before jumping into ranked play, take your usual setup into the firing range or a private match. Players considering Bot Lobbies MW4 for sale can also compare their builds across different distances and see which changes actually affect their play.
