Should the special port provide power to third party controllers?

Hi just got my Besavior got it all soldered up and everything placed self check and from what I can tell all works, but one thing the special port doesn't seem to provide any power I have a third party xbox controller the GameSir G7 love it. it is a wired only controller but doesn't seem to work with the Besavior because it doesn't provide power for it to turn on is there anyway to fix this? Did try wired DS4 and with it's battery charged it works over the besavior.

only original official controller at present
